After exploring the capital and the stunning lake Bled, we will start riding through the beautiful Alpine region along the winding Soča river with, unforgettable views of mountain tops all around. Once we leave the mountains behind, we will descend into the wine region famous for endless vineyards and great wine, where we can taste the best Slovenian treats. Then we cross to the Karst, a topography characterized by underground drainage systems with sinkholes and caves. And ride through the countryside all the way to the Mediterranean part of Slovenia where our journey ends with a drink in our hand at the seaside. In this trip you will truly experience all that Europe has to offer.

Our “Exclusive Package” includes one guide in the van and one on the bike. We like to take great care of our clients and believe that a guide on the bike is essential for you to get the best our of your trip. But of course we understand if you would like to be alone with your partner or family. In this case we would just support you with the van and all the logistic and give you a professional Garmin gps with loaded tracks and a road book. In this case the price of the package would be also lower.
DAY 1 - From Ljubljana to Bled
50 km / 800 mt ascent
A short 30’ transfer will take us to Skofja Loka, the best-preserved medieval city in the Slovenia, where we will start our cycling trip after a stroll in the old streets of the center and climb to the castle.
Next coffee stop will be in Kranj, The capital of the Slovenian Alps, where you stand with one foot in the city and the other one in nature. At the end of the day we will get to our destination, Bled. This Alpine lake with the only island in Slovenia has been a world-renowned paradise for centuries, impressing visitors with its natural beauty, wealth of legend, and special powers to restore well-being.
DAY 2 - From Bled to Kranjska Gora
40 km / 500 mt ascent
Today we start the day with a great hike. We will transfer you after breakfast. Many visitors to Slovenia say they’ve never seen a more beautiful lake than Bled…that is, until they’ve seen the blue-green waters of Lake Bohinj. There we will explore the area before heading back to Bled where we will start our ride.
The first part of the ride will be through the Valley of the Radovna River.It is definitely one of the most beautiful Slovenian alpine valleys. Two glacial valleys of Kot and Krma lead into Radovna. The area is a part of Triglav National Park, which is partially limiting the development of mass tourism. Due to its beauty it is visited mostly by »the conquerors of the useless world«, longing for peace and fresh air.
After that we will join the old railway which nowadays is a great cycling path that will lead us all the way to Kranjska Gora., a world-class ski centre nestled in the Julian Alps at the triple border point of Slovenia, Italy and Austria
DAY 3 - Triglav National Park

Today you have two options. You can ride the highes Slovenian mountain pass, Vrsic, or you can have an adventure in one of the best mountain area in Europe, Triglav NP.
DAY 4 - From Kobarid to Goriška Brda wine region
42 km / 500 mt ascent
We will start our ride directly from the chalets and wil ride the Kolovrat ridge. An outstanding scenic route with a magnificent view of the Julian Alps, the lowlands of river Po and the Adriatic coast. This place is also a mountaintop Open Air Museum. During the First World War the Italian Army built on the Kolovrat ridge an extensive fortified system of the third line of defense with lookout spots, the artillery
positions for machine guns, fortified positions, caves, caverns, connection galleries, and networks of trenches which we will visit. Slowly the mountain landscape will give way to a milder landscape as we get closer to the sea . We will be entering the Goriska Brda region, the most important wine region in the country also called Slovenian Tuscany.
There will spend the night and enjoy good wine and good food
DAY 5 - Slovenian Karst: From Postonja to Lokev
55km Ascent: 700 mt
Today we start with a 1 hour van transfer that will take us to the karst region, a landscape of subterranean worlds. A nature’s hidden gem. We will get to Postonja, the biggest cave in the country. Take an unforgettable ride on Postojna Cave’s underground train and experience a fascinating subterranean paradise shaped by tiny droplets over millions of years.
After that we will start cycling.
After not too long we will get to Predjama Castle.
The picturesque, magnificent, challenging, mysterious and impregnable castle has been perched in the middle of a 123-meter-high rocky cliff for over 800 years. Its romantic exterior and location are complemented by the idyllic river Lokva, which disappears underground deep below the castle. We will visit the castle.
The rest of the ride will take us to Lokev and Kasa Krasna, a wonderful small family hotel with a gourmet restaurant, a stone cellar. Boris, the owner, will take great care of us as always.
DAY 6 - To the sea! From Lokev to Piran

Ready to jump in the Adriatic sea!
Only 60 km divide us to Piran, one of the loveliest towns anywhere along the Adriatic coast, picturesque Piran (Pirano in Italian) sits prettily at the tip of a narrow peninsula. Its Old Town – one of the best-preserved historical towns anywhere in the Mediterranean – is a gem of Venetian Gothic architecture.
First part of the ride will be still through the Karts area. Later in the day we will arrive to the cost which will follow all the way to Piran following the famous Parenzana cycling path, an old railway road.
DAY 7 - Zbogom! (Goodbye!)
The tour is over after breakfast. Our guides will pack everything and go back to Prague. You can stay more days in Piran. Go back to Lubljana. Head down to Croatia or go to Italy. We will be happy to help you with the logistic. We hope you had fun and you will bring home with you unforgettable memories!

The Sečovlje Salt Pans are one of the last salt pans in the Mediterranean, where salt is obtained manually with a method which is several hundred years’ old. The traditional nature- and human-friendly method of salt production has through time enabled the development of special living environments in the salt pans and near them.
