San Francisco is our favourite place as it offers an incredible variety. Ocean, redwood forests, iconic landmarks, wine regions and a vibrant city center.
We put together a tour that will allow you to see and ride all that matters in the area:
- Marin County and its mountains;
- Napa Valley, one of the most famous wine regions on earth;
- San Francisco, an incredible city with a million things to see and do.

You only need van support?
Our “Exclusive Package” includes one guide in the van and one on the bike. We like to take great care of our clients and believe that a guide on the bike is essential for you to get the best our of your trip. But of course we understand if you would like to be alone with your partner or family. In this case we would just support you with the van and all the logistic and give you a professional Garmin gps with loaded tracks and a road book. In this case the price of the package would be also lower.

Day by day
DAY 1 - Golden Gate bridge & Marin Headland
70 km / 1300 mt ascent (44 miles / 4160 ft ascent)
35 km / 500 mt ascent (18 mi / 2000 ft)
Today we start with a not too difficult warm up ride to shake off the jet lag. But what a ride! One of the most scenic ever. We will ride over the Golden Gate bridge and get to Hawk Hill where the best view of the city and Alcatraz are.

DAY 2 - Iconic ride Alpine Dam Loop in Marin County
Minimum 57 km / 1000 mt ascent (36 miles / 3400 ft ascent)
When it comes to riding in Marin County, the Alpine Dam Loop is second to none. This ride is all about pleasure and pain, combining fantastic views and scenery with challenging climbs and wicked descents.
This ride mileage and ascent can be extended.

DAY 3 - Napa Valley Bike and Wine
90 km / 1300 mt ascent (58 miles / 4600 ft ascent)
(1h 30′ minutes shuttle from San Francisco to Healdsburg)
First day in Napa Valley, one of the world’s famous wine regions for wine tasting, wine tours, eating at Michelin star restaurants, and staying… and riding! There are so many good rides for every level that is hard to pick. So our is just a proposal but we can for sure adjust on spot according to your fitness level and expectations.
We love the Redwood ride, a remote trip among stunning giant trees.

DAY 4 - Napa Valley Bike & Wine
80 km / 1290 mt ascent (50 miles / 4400 ft)
Today we will ride the most classic ride in the area: Up Pine Flat and Chalk Hill. Don’t be decived by the name Pine Flat, this climb is roughly 11 miles and, just before the summit, features some of the steepest pavement in the county! After that, do as the locals do, and ride past the wineries and vineyards on Chalk Hill.
Inclusions: breakfast, dinner, wine tasting at award winning Gracianna Winery.
DAY 5 - Day Off in San Francisco
Today we get back to the city and the day is yours. You can go shopping, get to Alcatraz, spend theday at the beach or at the fisgermna wharf. It is up to you.

DAY 6 - The 7 Hells Hills of San Francisco
40 km / 400 mt ascent (25 miles / 1300 ft ascent)
Super fun last day of cycling. Today ride takes you up and over all of San Francisco’s seven hills: Twin Peaks, Mt. Davidson, Castro Hill, Telegraph Hill, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, and Pacific Heights. With a 25%-30% grade, some parts are so steep that there are stairs for pedestrians instead of sidewalks.

DAY 7 - Good bye!
After breakfast the BIKO team will depart and you will be free to continue your trip in California

At the end of the holiday we will present you with a long video of 20 minutes and one "Best Of" video from 3 to 5 minutes.

Are you traveling with your (very competitive) friends? So let us organize a competition for you!
We will chose 2 or 3 Strava segment every day. Climbing , time trial and descent. We will measure your time via Strava and give you the temporary ranking every day.

Day 1 - 50 km / 750 mt elevation bike ride in the park
Day 2 - Hike Half Dome (if permits are available) or other scenic hike. Circa 15 km.

Reservation, payment and cancellation
To reserve the trip we ask 50% of the total price via bank transfer or cash.
The remaining balance must be paid in cash or with credit card the day before the beginning of the trip or via bank transfer 12 days before the departure.
No refund of the deposit if the tour is cancelled less then 31 days before the departure (working days).
100 percent of the tour will be charged if the tour is cancelled less then 3 days before the departure.
